‘Research Showcase’ event
23rd February 2026, 4pm to 5.30pm
Join this free online event to hear about current and recent research, & the launch of our next funding application round. This event is designed for those involved in churches and Christian social action, and related research, with a particular focus on North East England.
Presentations will share about research including:
- ‘Reflecting Together’: Loneliness and isolation experienced by older people in South Tyneside‘, by Dr Stefanie Conradt with Audrey Tennet, Churches Together in South Tyneside.
- ‘Resilient Faith: The Lives of Millennial Christians in the North East‘, by Dr Ruth Perrin.
- Brief updates from other William Leech Research Fund award-holders, sharing opportunities to hear more and/or get involved in their research. Topics include those relating to church engagement with diverse issues such as supporting recovery from moral injury, learning from the faith lives of those with addictions, and the Church’s role in promoting the real living wage amongst those in the cleaning industry.
There will also be an opportunity to hear about the launch of the next application round for those interested in applying to the William Leech Research Fund to undertake research in the North East of England.
